How We Research Athens Airport Fares
We are an independent guide — we do not operate taxis, transfers or tours. Taxi to Athens exists to explain every way of getting to and from Athens International Airport, with honest prices and no sales pressure. Where our prices come from
- Taxi fares: the regulated flat fare published for Athens International Airport (currently €40 daytime, €55 night to the central zone), plus metered rates for destinations outside that zone.
- Metro and bus fares: the official OASA public-transport tariffs for the airport line and express buses.
- Ferry and transfer prices: published operator and partner pricing, checked against live booking pages.
Every guide carries a visible "last updated" date, and we re-check headline fares regularly. Prices in Greece do change — if you spot one that is out of date, please tell us and we will correct it.
How we make money (and why it does not bias us)

It does not change what we recommend. We routinely tell readers to take the metro (€9) or the X95 bus (€6.20) when those are the smartest choice — and we earn nothing from either. We recommend a pre-booked transfer only where it genuinely solves a problem, such as late-night arrivals, cruise embarkation days, families with luggage, or anyone who wants a fixed price agreed before they land.
